As the current Governor of the Illinois-Eastern Iowa District of Kiwanis, I would like welcome you to the 2012-2013 Kiwanis Year.
First Lady, Alyce, and my theme for the year is Together We Serve. I was inspired to select this saying because of what we, as Kiwanians, do at the Club level, the Division Level and the District Level. Together We serve the children of the world.
Sincerely,

John Moreland
Illinois-Eastern Iowa District Governor

The I-I District consists of all K-Family clubs located in the State of Illinois as well as those in the the following counties of Iowa: Allamakee, Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque, Jones, Jackson, Cedar, Clinton, Muscatine, Scott, Louisa, Henry, Des Moines & Lee.
The members of the I-I District are very proud of our midwestern heritage and our long standing Kiwanis service in our communities. Having chartered on September 27, 1918, the I-I District K-Family has provided service to children for over 91 years.
What if you could save a baby's life?
With The Eliminate Project, you can. Maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) kills one baby every nine minutes. But three doses of a 60-cent vaccine can protect mothers and babies. Kiwanis and UNICEF have joined forces to bring this vaccine to 38 countries, eliminating MNT from the face of the Earth. What can you do right now? Learn about MNT and advocate for the cause. Participate in our fundraisers. Over the next few years, the work we do will change the world. Find out more at www.TheEliminateProject.org.
